Mooch was born from an identified need in market; a financial lending product for a new generation – allowing small loans between peers without the hassle – where the ownership is between the individuals. Key was removing the stuffiness of rules whilst maintaining clarity in what Mooch brings – to both the investor and the borrower.

Our challenge was defining the right target(s), developing a brand positioning and look that would connect. We defined the mindsets and motivations (with the stigma that can sit with loans) – and the side hustle that unifies the space. We wanted to create a brand that delivered the right level of ‘cool’ with clarity in the offering, as education would continue to be key. Our proposition became ‘Life’s a playlist’ – mindful of quickly this can evolve.

We developed a people first brand to get to market. We focused on contemporary and vibrant executions, whilst conscious of consumer perceptions (trust / stigma) – beyond traditional expectations. We wanted to ensure clarity, whilst helping our Moocher imagine what they could do with the power in their hands – embracing living louder in the moment.
